ChatGPT Prompts for Landing Pages: Full-Page Copy Frameworks
ChatGPT prompts for landing page copy that converts. Hero, benefits, social proof, objection handling, and CTA sections — complete page-by-page.
The Prompt
Act as a conversion copywriter who has written landing pages generating $50M+ in revenue.
Write complete landing page copy for:
Product/offer: {product name and one-line description}
Target audience: {who this page is for}
Price point: {free / paid — if paid, the price}
Primary CTA: {what you want visitors to do}
Top 3 objections: {the reasons people don't buy}
Social proof available: {testimonials, case studies, logos, ratings}
Traffic source: {paid ads / organic / email}
Output structure:
1. Hero section: H1 (benefit-led, under 12 words), subhead (under 30 words), CTA button text
2. Problem section (2-3 sentences naming the painful status quo)
3. Solution intro (3-4 sentences introducing your approach — no feature list)
4. 3 core benefits (each: benefit headline + 2-sentence explanation)
5. Social proof block (how to present the proof you have — or what to get if you have none)
6. Objection-handling section (one short paragraph per objection)
7. CTA section (headline + supporting text + button copy)
8. FAQ (3 questions based on the objections)
Constraints:
- H1 must name a specific outcome, not a feature (not "AI-powered X" but "Cut X by Y in Z days")
- No "revolutionary", "world-class", or "industry-leading"
- CTA button text must not be "Submit" or "Click Here"
- Every benefit must be stated in terms of what changes for the customer
Variables to fill in
-
{product}Name and one-sentence description of what you're selling -
{audience}Who you're selling to and what they care about -
{objections}The top 3 reasons people don't convert -
{social proof}What proof you have — testimonials, stats, logos -
{traffic source}Where visitors are coming from (affects tone and context)
How to use this prompt
- Complete all variables before running — thin inputs produce thin copy
- Use the objection-handling section as-is for your FAQ page
- Test 2 different H1 options using your CRO tool's A/B test
- Brief your designer with the output — each section maps to a landing page block
The hero section is 80% of your conversion rate
Eye-tracking studies show that 80% of visitors never scroll below the fold. Your H1, subhead, and CTA button must do the entire job of convincing a first-time visitor to act. The prompt enforces an outcome-focused H1 — because ‘We help businesses grow’ converts at a fraction the rate of ‘Add 200 subscribers per month without paid ads.‘
Objection handling sells more than features
Visitors who don’t convert aren’t unconvinced — they’re stuck. They have a specific doubt that’s preventing the click. Naming that doubt and neutralizing it (with proof, specifics, or a guarantee) is worth more than adding another feature bullet. This is why the prompt requires you to input your top 3 objections as raw material.
Traffic source changes everything
A visitor from a Google ad who searched ‘buy [product]’ has different intent than someone from a newsletter. Cold traffic needs more context and social proof. Warm traffic needs a faster path to the CTA. Specify your traffic source in the prompt so the copy matches the visitor’s starting point.
